Salesforce permissions can be a bit confusing to set up correctly. If you are having any issues configuring these permissions, please reach out directly to firstname.lastname@example.org.
At a minimum, Infer needs to be able to read all the fields under the following objects:
Once the Infer Profile Management package is installed, however, the Salesforce user profile in use by Infer will also require "Visible" access to the "Infer: Profiles" and "Infer: Profiles (Short)" field on the Lead, Contact, Account and Opportunity objects.
For Admins: Adding Permissions In Salesforce
- To add these permissions go to the Setup > Manage Users > Profiles tab
- Press the Edit button next to the Profile which you are using for this integration
- Press "Edit" at the top of this Profile Edit page
- Scroll down to the "Standard Object Permissions" section and select at least the "View All" checkbox. The Recommend settings are show below:
After saving these changes to the Object level permissions, we still need to add Field-level permissions.
To edit the field-level permissions, click on the Profile Name you wish to edit on the Setup > Manage Users > Profiles page and scroll down to the "Field-Level Security" section.
There are four objects for which field-level security settings must be set to at least the "Read-Only" state.
